Wooden gate construction
After being frequently asked how we manufacture our popular and wide range of made-to-measure wooden gates, we’ve added a new page on our website showing and describing the construction methods used.
This page will give you all the information you need in order to decide on which gate best suits your needs, as well as satisfy your curiosity about how we create our bespoke wooden gates. We’ve also added an ‘Anatomy of a Gate’ section, showing clearly all the different members of the gates and what they are called.
All our gates are built to last by time-served craftsmen and are based on a traditional wedged mortice and tenon jointed frame, a technique passed down through generations of our family. For more information on how we will craft your bespoke gate, please view our wooden gate construction page.
