Our Story

Founded in 1989, Gate Expectations by Inwood specialises in the manufacture of made to measure wooden gates, side hung garage doors and joinery items. Based near Rhyl, Denbighshire on the North Wales coast, this family business goes back through three generations of craftsmen going back almost 100 years.

Everything produced by Gate Expectations by Inwood is made using traditional joinery methods based on knowledge passed on from father to son to grandson.

Alongside manufacturing made to measure joinery products, Gate Expectations by Inwood publish content for the woodworking construction community and general public to learn and understand more about using wood in the twenty-first century.

Gate Expectations by Inwood are a British Woodworking Federation (BWF) Code of Conduct assured company (number 061535). High standards of work are produced by time-served City and Guilds qualified joiners.
