Where do I fit the ironmongery onto the gate

Cranked Band & gudgeon hinges – Self explanatory, fits to the hanging stile/s of the gates. Gates taller than 7ft/2130mm require three hinges per gate. Length of hinges is determined by width of each gate leaf.
Dropbolt – Supplied with a pair of gates, fits to the bottom of the non-active gate (i.e. the gate that opens second in the pair) and fastens into the ground to hold the gate closed (you can also use the dropbolt to hold the gate in the open position).
Lockable dropbolt – As above but allows the gate to be locked in the closed position by way of a padlock (not supplied). Gate can only be locked/unlocked from the side the lockable dropbolt is fitted to.
Padbolt – Fits to either the front or rear of the gate and allows locking by way of a padlock (not supplied). The gate can only be unlocked from the side the padbolt is fitted to.
Ringlatch – Allows the gate to be opened/closed from either side (provided it is not locked with either the padlock or deadlock!).
Cabin hook – Used to clip a pedestrian gate open (or the main active gate in a pair of gates).
Five lever deadlock – Used in place of the padbolt, gate can be locked or locked from either side. Once unlocked (by way of a key) the gate is free to swing open. Fits into the edge of the gate.

Oak or Accoya gates?

European oak gates or Accoya gates? Then you will need stainless steel ironmongery as both the Oak and Accoya can react with non-stainless steel ironmongery resulting in staining to your timber and/or ironmongery. Please contact us for stainless steel ironmongery as it is a special order – we do not keep any of it in stock.
