Wooden Garage Door Frames
Manufactured from the same material as the garage doors you choose. Supplied in three pieces, all pre-jointed (mortice and tenon jointed) ready for onsite assembly.
Frames are rebated as standard which avoids the fiddly job of fitting loose stops to your door frames once the garage doors have been installed and also feature a mortar groove on the rear.
Supplied with our wooden garage doors only.
If you prefer we can supply square frames without the rebates – please contact us with your requirements.
When measuring up for your garage door frame and garage doors the measurements we require are the brick to brick opening width and the floor to lintel height. For more info on measuring up please see our Measuring up for side hinged garage doors guide.
Typically our garage door frames finish at 70mm x 58mm, however size of the frames is usually dependent on the size of opening you have – larger doors need larger hinges and therefore a larger frame, please contact us for details.

Wooden storey frames
Got a tall garage door opening but don’t want full length garage doors?
Then a storey garage door frame may be what you require?
These are a great way of reducing a larger opening in height if you don’t want overly big doors.
The storey frames basically consists of a normal garage door frame with an additional section on top (above the normal head of the frame and all fully jointed together) that can either be boarded with T&G boarding to match the doors or glazed (supplied internally beaded, unglazed – these are also known as borrowed light frames).
The section shown as ‘A’ can either be boarded or supplied ready to take glazing – both options would require further uprights within the section (not shown).
