Colwyn Driveway Gates

Our Colwyn driveway gates with full thickness rising head.

Head as standard rises 6″/150mm from the hinge centre to centre of gate.

As with all our gates, based on a through wedged mortice and tenon joint for greater strength.

Online sizes from 1050mm to 2100mm (highest points) in height & opening widths from 1600mm upto 4000mm. For any sizes outside these please contact us.

For gate width we require the overall combined (two gate) widths & for height we require the height at the lowest point.

Description

Made to measure in both Hardwoods and Softwoods, our Colwyn driveway gates features a full thickness asymmetrical head that rises by 6″ (150mm) from the lowest point of the gate.

Each and every gate is made to measure by time served joiners in our own workshops, and are available in smooth planed Meranti, Idigbo & European Oak (Hardwoods), Accoya (Modified Softwood) and Unsorted Scandinavian Redwood (Softwood).

The Colwyn driveway gates are also available with a matching pedestrian gate, giving you the opportunity to have a matching set and all can be fully boarded, open boarded and manufactured to suit both above ground and below ground automation systems.

Colwyn gates with bigger or smaller rises?

Our standard Colwyn gates have a 6″ or 150mm rise in height from the lowest point, if you need a larger or smaller rise in the head then please let us know your requirements as everything we manufacture can be customised to your exact requirements.

Colwyn – specifications

All top edges on any horizontal rails of the Colwyn feature an angled water run off, this stops the build up of moisture on your gates and makes for a longer lifespan. The stiles of the Colwyn (vertical outer uprights of the gate frame) also have rounded outer edges.

Every thing we manufacture is made to measure by our British Woodworking Federation Approved  Joiners.  

Upon receipt of any order then an full order confirmation is sent out (this will follow the auto  generated email that you receive immediately after placing an order). 

This order confirmation email gives you a chance to double check sizes and for us to confirm final  details. 

Once an order is received you will receive a ‘completion week’ within your order confirmation  email. Once the gate is ready for despatch we will contact you to arrange a suitable day for delivery, we do not just send the completed gates out and hope for the best! 

Deliveries are Tuesdays-Fridays only, excluding any Bank Holidays/Public Holidays. 

Where possible we try and use a dedicated van for deliveries so like to try and group several  deliveries within the same area on the same day, but we do also use Nationwide carriers as well. 

For deliveries further afield we will ship on a carrier. 

All prices gate prices include delivery to most parts of the UK mainland. Exclusions to this are  highlands or Scotland and off shore areas of the UK (Scottish Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man,  Channel Islands).
