Our reversible hinges are a heavy duty hinge with a variety of uses from gates, garage doors, external doors and even stable doors.
As with cranked band and gudgeon hinges, the Reversible hinges allow the gates/doors to sit flush with the gate post or door frame when fitted.
Unlike the cranked band and gudgeon hinges however, the reversible hinges cannot be lifted off, unless one hinge cup (per hinge) is removed!
Available in a choice of black, galvanised and black over galvanised. All our reversible hinges are sold in pairs.
The black and galvanised reversible hinges come without fixings (screws and bolts), but these can be added as an optional extra.
The black on galvanised Gatemate versions come with all fixings as standard.

As with most gate hinges, the general rule for normal domestic use is to use a hinge that is at least one third the width of each gate or door.
For more heavy duty use then choose a reversible hinges that is half the width of each gate.
Again a general rule is any door or gate over 2000mm tall should have a third hinge added.

Orders are despatched Monday to Friday only (excluding Bank Holidays).
All orders received prior to 12pm on the day are despatched the same day using either Royal Mail Tracked 24 or DPD for a fully tracked delivery.
If you are happy for the items to be left somewhere safe (i.e. either with a neighbour or somewhere secure on your property) then please do let us know in the ‘Customer notes’ section of our checkout page.
Once despatched your will receive an email and text (if we have a mobile telephone number for you) from DPD confirming that they have your parcel or Royal Mail with tracking details confirming that they have your parcel
For DPD deliveries, on the day of delivery you’ll again receive an email/text from DPD with an approx 2 hour time slot from DPD. If you are not able to be present to receive your parcel you can then rearrange delivery for an alternate day or get the parcel delivered to the nearest DPD pickup shop for you to collect at your convenience.
Please note that due to Brexit we are not currently shipping to Northern Ireland or Europe.

If an item is faulty or defective, you can return it for an exchange or full refund within 30 Days and we will pay for the return postage.
Buyers are responsible for return postage if an item is unwanted or you changed your mind.
A refund or exchange will be available if items are returned unused, intact, un-opened and in the original packaging within 30 Days for exchange or a refund.

We’re a small family run company, who come from a long line of carpenters and joiners, you could say it’s in our blood.
Based in Rhyl, on the beautiful North Wales coast we produce made to measure wooden gates, side hung wooden garage doors and general joinery items. We began making our own range of gates and garage doors back in 1989, but our business is based on decades of carpentry and joinery expertise that stretches back over three generations. Our work today is still based on the teaching, techniques and craftsmanship of our forefathers.

Very robust hinges delivered quickly.
Saved the day🤣 The hinges are superb quality. Really heavy duty and easy to fit. Especially impressed with the self tapping screws which went into my metal posts really tight! Would definitely recommend this product and indeed the company itself!

Fantasticaly strong hinges. Second pair of these strong galvanised gate hinges I’ve bought, fantastic, thick, strong, sturdy, not like the thin strap hinges you usually buy that last a year or two – these hinges will outlive the wooden gates and be around when I am long gone. Great firm, quick delivery, fair price – what more can I say !
